Paula G. Atkinson practices all aspects of real estate and corporate law.  She primarily focuses on real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, development, low-income housing credits, and 1031 exchanges), financings, private equity investments and divestitures, as well as corporate structuring, corporate governance, contract negotiations, US and international mergers & acquisitions (M&A) (often $200M – $600M), and other commercial matters.  She has extensive experience handling deals with complex and sophisticated financial arrangements. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Atkinson worked at several major AmLaw 100/200 law firms handling domestic and international transactions.  She has also served as General Counsel and as Assistant General Counsel for two public companies where she led corporate structuring, negotiation of major contracts, technology matters (privacy, software licensing), regulatory compliance, intellectual property, insurance and tax matters and advised on a wide variety of complex and global company-wide policies.

Ms. Atkinson has been a speaker at various CLE courses for the California State Bar and Los Angeles County Bar Association and was Former Chair, Pass-through Entities Committee, Los Angeles County Bar.
